Reverend Kim Swenson, Pastor 


Pastor Kim attended Luther College and Wartburg Theological Seminary, receiving a Masters in Biblical Studies. She then attended PLTS for her Master of Divinity in 2009. Kim did her internship at Lutheran Church of the Reformation in Washington, DC. She has 6 years of experience as a Youth Director in two different churches in Iowa prior to attending PLTS.

Margarette is a 2nd year MDiv student at PLTS and serves as the Proclaim (a program of Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries) Student Representative on campus. Prior to attending seminary she worked for 7 seven years just outside of New York City, NY, as a social worker where she worked primarily with chronically ill children and youth in foster care. 

Clare McElaney, Teaching Parish Student

Clare McElaney is a second year MDiv student at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary (PLTS) with a concentration in Evangelism and Justice. Clare graduated from Fairfield University in 2013 with majors in International Studies and Politics. She is from New England, most recently Stratford, Connecticut. Prior to seminary, she served as Young Adult in Global Mission with the ELCA in Jerusalem-West Bank (14’-15’). Clare enjoys a good iced-coffee, trying new recipes and singing along to any song.
