Adult Choir

The choir practices regularly on Thursday evenings between 7:30 and 9:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary during the school year. The choir typically sings for worship a couple times a month. We try to keep a flexible schedule to accommodate people’s availability and the needs of the liturgical year. If you’ve been thinking about singing with the choir, this would be the perfect time to give it a try. We’d love to have some new voices join us this year. All levels of musical experience are welcome – the only thing you need is a love for singing. All ages are welcome, including children and youth. Don’t worry if you’re not able to commit to every rehearsal – as long as you can come relatively often, there shouldn’t be any problem. And if there are any questions or concerns, contact Carl Bear, the choir director, via email: music@sothb.org.

Special Music

If singing in the choir really isn’t your thing, consider other ways of being involved in the musical life of the congregation. Whether that be playing percussion during a hymn, playing an instrument during the offering, liturgical dance during the procession, singing on Christmas Eve, or anything else you could imagine, any and all contributions are most welcome. Please contact Carl Bear, the music director, via email at music@sothb.org with any ideas you may have for being involved in worship.
