Members are those individuals who have completed a New Member class and have chosen to join by transferring their membership from another congregation or affirmation of faith. The New Member class is designed to give those interested in joining more information about Shepherd of the Hills, our beliefs, worship customs, service opportunities, and connections with the ELCA and the world-wide Christian Church.
An individual becomes a member of the congregation the day the Sacrament of Holy Baptism is administered. Those who have been baptized in the Christian church are not required to be baptized again. Those who have not yet been baptized are able to do so prior to or on the date of their reception into membership.
