Reflections
Reflections Group meets regularly at 10:00-11:00a.m. Thursdays at Gifford and Esther Dickels' house. Attendees catch up with each other’s lives, discuss current events, and read a book together. Beginning in Fall 2008, Reflections began a study of Islam. See the Reflections calendar.
Priscilla Circle
Women’s Bible Study group is open to all women of the church and meets the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00a.m. Members of the Circle take turns hosting at their homes or at church. There is time for catching up as well as Bible Study and lunch. Group members each bring their own lunches while the hostess provides dessert. See the Priscilla Circle calendar.
Young Adults, a.k.a. "Pentecostal Youth Group"
The Young Adults Group is made up primarily of members in their 20s and 30s, although anyone young at heart is welcome to join in the activities. See the Young Adults calendar and keep up with the group on Facebook. The Group promotes fellowship with its two primary activities:
Pub Quiz and Darts - 8:00p.m. the first Sunday of the month at the Albatross Pub in Berkeley. Darts, trivia, beer, popcorn - must be 21 or older.
Brunch - The second Sunday of the month, after Coffee Hour, at a local eatery (normally Jimmy Bean's at Sixth and Gilman, Berkeley).
Handwork
The Handwork Group meets monthly to work on various projects, such as
baby caps and blankets for Church World Service, and shawls for local nursing homes. A new project is cross stitch ornaments for the church Christmas tree. All ages and abilities are welcome; instruction is provided. See the Handwork Group calendar.
Quilting
The Quilting Group meets the first Saturday of the month, 9:00 a.m. to Noon in the Fellowship Hall, during the Fall and Spring to work on quilts for Lutheran World Relief and local homeless shelters. All abilities are welcome. See the Quilting Group calendar.
